War in Iraq vs. Iraq Occupation

I just had a thought. I know this has been discussed before, but Democrats have completely ceded the language of the Iraq debate to the Republicans.

We should not be calling this the "War in Iraq." What is going on in Iraq hasn't been a "war" since George Bush declared "Mission Accomplished."

Since about that time this has been the Iraq Occupation.
